Dear Stakeholders in Women's Health:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology serves as the administrative home to University of Miami Miller School of Medicine faculty and programs dedicated to the health and well-being of women. Our faculty is committed to creating and maintaining excellence in medical and healthcare education for students, house officers, and post-residency fellows. Our programs and educational missions rely on vigorous and committed partnerships with Jackson Memorial Hospital, the Sylvester Cancer Center, and the medical school.

The Department is dedicated to creating a true learning environment where students can embark on a journey of life-long learning. Clinical commitment, research endeavors and educational programs are continually assessed and re-designed. We believe in constructive criticism and a just environment which makes patient safety in all its aspects – clinical care, education or research – the ultimate goal.

I am honored to chair this world-renowned department and relish the ongoing commitment this privileged position demands.
