March 2009

Elvire Jacques, M.D., participated in a news conference that discussed a unique surgery performed on an infant at Jackson Memo­rial’s Holtz Children’s Hospital in March. Ramzi Younis, M.D., professor of otolaryngology, surgically removed a nearly 2-pound tumor that was growing from the infant’s mouth. Dr. Jacques took care of the baby’s mother during her pregnancy.
